It almost seems that during the Medieval Period, their motto was "Medieval Bastards: Centuries Of Creative Ways To Kill." Also known as the "Intestinal Crank," this method of torture began with an incision in the abdomen. Then a hook attached to a rope was inserted into the incision and attached to a piece of the victim's small intestine. As the executioner or inquisitor turned the crank, the rope would wind the rope and intestine around a pole, pulling out more and more of the victim's small and large intestine. No one survived The Crank.

This gruesome pattern depicts a man being martyred via The Crank. It's chartered at 20-count and can be stitched on linen or Aida fabric. This piece will fit a standard 11 x 14-inch frame when finished. Upon payment, you will receive a link to download a digital pattern on a PDF (13 pages).
