From the "Satan's Seasons" series, this is "Spring." You can call him Black Phillip; you can call him Satan, you can call him a beautiful goat with an unfortunate birthmark. I love goats. They are very dog-like and can be so much fun. I wanted to create something "dark," like a symbolic representation of Satan, and juxtapose that with something "normal" and beautiful. There are so many cross stitch samplers that represent the changing of the seasons; I felt it was time to give Satan his chance to romp among the Four Seasons not just for art's sake but for those who are looking for something different to stitch. For whatever reason they choose. I also included the pattern without the upside-down cross in case anyone wants a secular goat. He looks great both ways! You will need 14 count cross stitch fabric for this pattern. I chose a light blue color but feel free to choose your own color! *This pattern was inspired by an antique lace pattern. Upon payment you will be offered two files to download: one is the PDF of the goat with the cross on his head and the other PDF has the goat without the cross. You are welcome to take both! When finished, it will fit perfectly into an 8-inch by 8-inch frame. Please cut your fabric larger than that, so you have plenty of room to work, especially in the corners. Enjoy!
