Tsk, tsk, such a naughty child! Dad, get the booze out, Junior has angered the Krampus this year! This version of the demonic Anti-Claus is from a 1911 postcard. Krampus has a long history in the folklore of Europe, most heavily in Germany and Austria. Some traditions are said to predate Christianity. Krampus only visits the home if the children inside have been naughty. It is customary to offer Krampus a fruit-flavored brandy. Perhaps after enough visits throughout the night, Krampus will need all year to sleep it off.
